October Newsletter 2021
Autumn
After a lacklustre summer, many of us are probably rather grateful to have had such a sunny and relatively warm start to the Autumn; long may the clear blue skies and crisp mornings last, although at the time of writing, there’s a torrential flood outside! Nevertheless, our contractor’s, Garden & Grounds, have been doing a super job keeping the estate lawns looking as lovely as ever and we hope residents have been enjoying watching nature do its amazing thing. As always, if you’re a bit of a photographer, rain or shine, we’d love to have your images of the grounds to share on our website and in newsletters.
Leaf Fall & Drain Blockages
Along with blue skies and breezy days, there are a few irritants for residents to look out for. Fallen leaves and heavy rains combine to cause all sorts of problems for our buildings. As balcony drains get clogged up, leaks and flooding tend to become more frequent. Therefore, we ask that residents keep their drains clear of leaves, and for everyone to give this special attention over the next few weeks. Balcony drains aren’t always easily accessible or even visible. If you have trouble locating yours, please call the office so we can offer advice or practical help where necessary.
Please Trim your Hedges and Plants
Lately, some hedges and plants have become a bit unruly. Please check yours. If the path outside your property is blocked by shrubbery, it will need to be cleared. Many thanks for your co-operation.
General Meeting 19th October 7 pm
The final meeting of the year takes place on 19th October 2021. We are so happy to be holding it in the Co-op meeting room (provided there are no more instructions to lock down and isolate between now and then.) However, we are aware some residents find online attendance more convenient, and in the spirit of equal opportunity and access for as many as possible, we will continue to host meetings on Zoom as well.
We also aim to return to the pre-pandemic tradition of offering residents a limited amount of drink and some nibbles at the meeting. Do come along on the 19th at 7 pm. It is an opportunity to voice your opinion about the estate and meet your neighbours.
Please click here for the Agenda. Previous minutes will be emailed to residents.
